Obverse carries the coinage portrait of HM 
Queen Elizabeth II by Sir Ian Rank-Broadley
 
Obverse: The obverse is graced with a right facing effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with a jeweled tiara upon her head. The portrait is encircled by the inscriptions “QUEEN ELIZABETH II,” “1 OZ 9999 AG,” “2022,” “TUVALU” and “1 DOLLAR.” Below the portrait, the initials “IRB” appear, crediting sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley with the design. Mr. Rank-Broadley is an acclaimed British artist, who created this distinctive likeness of Great Britain’s longest reigning monarch in 1998.
Reverse: The reverse depicts the character of Bart Simpson, seeming to boldly burst through the image frame. Bart is illustrated wearing a wide-eyed expression, with his tongue out, and hands held up with fingers splayed, in a blatant demonstration of the young boy’s teasing nature. Inscriptions include “BART SIMPSON,” the Mint mark “P” and Matt Groening’s signature.
